There are all sorts of folks who have no government issued photo ID and have no need to acquire one.

An Oregon DMV ID card costs $29 and requires at least one trip to a DMV office - plus $20 for the birth certificate to obtain one. If you were born outside of Oregon, the birth certificate costs (and hassle) are anyone's guess.

Dunno 'xactly what the difference between paying a poll tax in order to vote and shelling out $49 to get the document necessary to vote might be.

Oregon's not gonna go the Indiana route.

But Indiana's requirements are pretty daunting. For instance, to get an Indiana ID card, you need your actual social security card.

I've absolutely NO idea what might have happened to my SS card. Do you?

I suppose I could get a new one. IF I remembered to do so. But getting one between now and the May primary would likely be impossible.
